Uchizy, Macon.

Alexandre was a fashion photographer in Paris for Chanel. He moved to burgundy in the mid 90’s and officially started producing wine in 2001.

He farms all of his vineyards without chemicals and all harvesting is done by hand. His cellar is located in the town of Uchizy and all of the fruit is pressed in a hand-driven press and no additions are made at any point.

The same barrels are used for the same wine each year because he believes that the yeast & bacterias are in symbiosis with the fruit from the vineyards. The wine is bottled without sulphur and total production is 6000 – 7000 bottles in a good year.
